KOMOREBI 2019

KOMOREBI 2019 is a celebration of art and cultural expression with a particular focus on bringing the art of bonsai to a broader audience.

The purpose of this event is to commemorate the Art of Bonsai and share the knowledge of Bonsai, while having world-class bonsai specimens on display to educate and positively impact the public about the Bonsai Art culture in Miami, Florida. The event will present internationally known bonsai artists and local experts who will share their theories and philosophies about the Art of Bonsai. ​

to not only show what our state’s residents create but also to ask why they do it and what it means to them in the stories the bonsai trees tell. KOMOREBI 2019 provides a space for the public to engage knowledgeable artists and experts to answer questions and observe their practice. Direct access to world class specimens and esteemed teachers is imperative to educate the public about the history, lessons, and common misperceptions of the Art of Bonsai.

The Light Box is located in the heart of the urban arts district of Wynwood and is an excellent location to present an alternative art experience for the public. In addition, specialty vendors will be onsite with materials, specimens and tools for attendees to practice the Art of Bonsai.
